Don't Miss Out-New Email Blast to Start Feb 1st

Just wanted to remind you that FWGA is updating it's email blast program effective February 1st.  This is how we send you email copies of new posts or important notices.

In order to guarantee that you continue to receive all of our blasts, you will need to check and change your email provider's security setting.  Many of the email providers automatically block an email to you sent from a large batch email.  It is seen as spam and it never gets to you.

The email providers that we have determined are involved are Comcast, Gmail and Outlook (formerly Hotmail).  The following link to PDF instructions will help you make the change if you use one of those providers.

Download INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO ALLOW BROADCAST EMAILS

We will send out a test email blast on February 1st.  Check your email for that message by February 2nd.

If you have any questions about the instructions or you do not receive the test email, please contact Cheryl Ramirez at this link Communications

2015 General Meeting

The first meeting of the 2015 year for Fore Women Golf Association is scheduled for March 28th at Los Positas Golf Course in Livermore.  This is a great opportunity for you to join your fellow golfers and potential new members and guests to find out about the activities we have planned for the year.  You will be able to enjoy a hosted breakfast followed by an opportunity to meet the board members, hear from committees, learn about coming events and hear a speaker presenting exciting ways to improve your game.   There will be time for shopping before and after the meeting.

Registration starts at 8:30 followed by breakfast, shopping and golfing.  At 11:30 you may enjoy a round of fun golf either 9 holes ($20 walking) or 18 holes ($66 with bucket of balls and cart) with your golfing friends.

Please go to Events and RSVP for breakfast and sign up for golfing.   The deadline to register is 3/19 so hurry to get your spot!!!

It is the opening of the season and a great way to reconnect with your golfing friends!

FWGA 2015 Tournament Schedule

FWGA is excited to announce that we have 13 tournaments scheduled in 2015 – Two 9-hole tournaments, 5 away Invitational tournaments and six 18-hole tournaments located locally in the bay area. Check out the locations and dates at this link Tournament Schedule

We are offering Early Bird Rates for the away tournaments:  Sequoia Woods (Arnold), Saddlecreek (Copperopolis), San Juan Oaks (Hollister), Nicklaus Club (Monterey) and Pacific Grove Golf (Pacific Grove).

In order to qualify, you must sign up 8 weeks prior to the tournament.  There is $20 discount off each tournament, a total savings of $100 for the year.  The away tournaments are all invitational events.  This means that you can invite your friends, spouse or partner to come and play as your guest.  They also can receive the discounted rate for signing up early.

We welcome players of all levels.  If you do not have an index, we can figure out one for you based on prior scores and courses played, so don’t let that stop you!

We are also looking for tournament hosts to run each tournament.  This is your opportunity to pick the format of your choice and learn some of the basics of running a tournament.  Tournament Chair Liz Riddle will be there to help every step.  If you have any question, please contact her at Tournaments.
